Nature has been an important muse to me. While I don’t try to replicate nature, I do strive to capture its essence, along with the sense of mystery it embodies. I think of these as Moments of Grace. I am fascinated by the movement, the gestures, the textures, the patterns, the power, the serendipity, the unpredictability, and the perfection of the imperfections in nature. Through the transformation of a common material, cotton swabs, I am commenting on the potential all around us and I invite the viewer to pay closer attention to the unexpected, overlooked and often inspirational aspects of their own world. ~
